Woman Development Cell Program

A workshop on “Sexual Harassment of Women at Workplace (Prevention, Prohibition and Redressal) Act, 2013”conducted on 27th Feb 2017, Organized by Women development cell, KJCOEMR, Pune. The motivation to arrange this workshop was to aware all students and faculties about an ACT by Maharashtra State Government – “Zero tolerance for sexual harassment of students & women in colleges”. Participants also aware about under this regulation, the HEI has to implement several support measures like institutional counseling services, adequate lighting & reliable public transport within campus, well trained security staff incl. women, adequate health facilities etc. Under this regulation, women and students of any gender can make a complaint of sexual harassment in writing to the ICC. They can make a complaint against other students as well.

For this workshop Chief Guest is Mrs. Shakuntala Jaisinghani, Director - Trinity International School, Pune. She has a rich experience for more than three decades in varied fields of Education and has traveled extensively around the world for numerous workshops, seminars, conferences and trainings. Guest of Honors is Mr. Jivraj Chole, Uchit Media, Pune and Prof. J. K. Warke, Principal, Trinity Polytechnic Pune.

Workshop attended by More than 200 KJCOEMR students (Girls & Boys), teaching and non teaching ladies staff, NSS officer, Student welfare officer, senior staff and Head of departments. All participants are benefited from the contents of the workshop. Feedback given by participants was outstanding.

Objective of WDC

1) To highlight the importance of health and hygiene.
2) To create social awareness about the problems of women.
3) To develop the self confidence of women.
4) To develop multidisciplinary approach for over all personality development
5) To express women role in the society.
