Department of Pharmacognosy

The Department of Pharmacognosy is dedicated to the scientific study of natural sources of drugs, encompassing plants, animals, and marine organisms. Our mission is to bridge traditional knowledge with modern science, focusing on the isolation, identification, and standardization of bioactive compounds to develop safe and effective herbal medicines.

High-Performance Liquid Chromatography (HPLC), UV-Visible Spectrophotometer, Flame Photometer, and Fluorimeter.

Research Laboratories

RESEARCH LABORATORIES

Extraction and Isolation Equipment’s (Soxhlet apparatus, Clevenger apparatus), and distillation units for the extraction of bioactive compounds.

Machine Room

MICROSCOPY AND HISTOCHEMISTRY TOOLS

Binocular light microscopes and polarized microscopes for the study of crude drugs.

HERBAL GARDEN

A well-maintained garden with over 50 medicinal plant species, providing students with practical exposure to plant-based medicines.

A well-stocked library with access to a wide range of pharmaceutical textbooks, reference books and journals.

Eligibility Criteria for Pharmacy Courses
B. Pharmacy 12th Std passed (Science) with non-zero valid score of MAH-MHT-CET or qualified NEET exam

Indian National

Passed HSC or equivalent examination with Physics and Chemistry as compulsory subjects along with one of the Mathematics or Biology

Fee Structure

As prescribed by the Regulating Authority of Government of Maharashtra for academic year 2025-26

The students will be admitted through Common Admission Process (CAP), as well as at Institute level on the basis of MHT-CET / NEET score.
