The Department of Mechanical Engineering at TCOER is a center of excellence in the fields of mechanics, thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, manufacturing, and machine design. We prepare students for real-world challenges in automobile, aerospace, energy systems, robotics, and advanced manufacturing industries by combining theoretical knowledge with practical skills.

Career opportunities for these professionals are available with firms of the government, private and public sectors. Besides this, job opportunities are obtainable for them abroad too. They can take up the job as civil engineers, supervisors, managers, designers etc. Opportunities also exist in NGO’s, quality testing, defenses, navy, airways, safety, health, environmental and quality management, fire control systems, teaching and education, designing arbitration, Indian Engineering Services and independent consultancy service, use of renewable energy and eco friendly construction.

Testimonials
The training and placement officer in our college has a good network with IT companies. They inform us about which companies are coming for job interviews 2 to 3 days before so that we can prepare for those interviews. Companies like Sanky Solution, Tudip technology, Emicon, Techno Growth visited this year. Many students in college got placed and gathered experience of interviews. Training and placement cell organizes aptitude training for students every year, and they try to call industry experts to take sessions on programming languages. I got placed in FIS Global with the salary package of 5 LPA.

More than 90% of the students have been placed this year and it was a great experience for the placement facilities as well as the students. There are different workshops held in order to increase the number of placements of students. Some frequent recruiters were Zensar Infosys TCS Bitwise etc. I got placement in Infosys, TCS, Zenar, Bitwise. College life was pretty awesome. I made many friends. I know I will miss college too much and these days won't come back. We used to celebrate many festivals and days together. We would make a lot of fun and had no stress if you complete everything on time.
