About DepartmentTCOER is progressively aligning its academic framework with NEP 2020 through academic autonomy to meet the needs of today’s digital-native learners. Recognizing that first-year students are still developing vital study techniques and adaptive skills, the Department of Engineering Sciences (F.Y. B. Tech.) lays a strong academic foundation. The revised curriculum introduces six core engineering themes—Design-Build-Test, User-Centered Design, Engineering Science, Engineering Optimization, Engineering Analysis, and Reverse Engineering—fostering hands-on learning, analytical thinking, and innovation through authentic, project-based pedagogy.

The department offers a diverse, interdisciplinary curriculum covering mathematics, science, programming, and foundational engineering. Courses include Applied Physics, Applied Chemistry, Linear and Integral Calculus, Engineering Graphics and CAD, Programming Languages, Electrical and Electronics Basics, AI and Sensors, Workshop Practices, and Open Source OS Programming. Enrichment modules like Design Thinking, Idea Lab, Model Making, Communication Skills, Indian Knowledge System, and Co-Curricular activities (yoga, sports, fitness, etc.) promote holistic development.
