About the Department

Delve into the realm of Civil Engineering, a distinguished professional discipline dedicated to the design, construction, and maintenance of our physical and natural environment, encompassing vital structures such as roads, bridges, canals, dams, and buildings. Established in 2009, our Department of Civil Engineering offers a comprehensive undergraduate program, B.E. Civil Engineering, and a specialized postgraduate course, M.E. Civil - Structural Engineering started in A.Y. 2013-14.

Our department is committed to fostering holistic student development through innovative pedagogy and immersive learning experiences. With a primary goal of producing adept, skilled, and industry-ready civil engineering graduates, we strive to meet the demands of both industry and society. Through our rigorous curriculum and exposure to emerging technologies, we equip our students with the requisite knowledge and training across diverse facets of Civil Engineering. Join us in shaping a sustainable and resilient future through the application of civil engineering principles and practices. Departmental Strengths-

1. Experienced Faculty: A strong department often boasts a team of experienced and knowledgeable faculty members who are experts in various subfields of Civil Engineering. Their expertise enriches the learning experience for students and contributes to the department's reputation.
2. State-of-the-Art Facilities: Well-equipped laboratories, workshops, and research facilities are available for hands-on learning and conducting advanced research in Civil Engineering. Departments with access to state-of-the-art equipment and technology can provide students with practical skills and opportunities for innovative research. Special Lab - Universal Testing Machine (UTM) of 1200 kn loading capacity is available for conducting Consultancy and Research work.
3. Research Opportunities: Civil Engineering departments with active research programs offer students the chance to participate in cutting-edge research projects. Engaging in research not only enhances students' understanding of theoretical concepts but also prepares them for careers in academia or industry.
4. Industry Partnerships/MoU’s: Collaborations with industry partners (MoU) provide valuable opportunities for students to gain real-world experience through internships, co-op programs, and industry-sponsored projects. These partnerships also facilitate knowledge exchange, job placements, and career networking for students and faculty.
