The inception of the Computer Engineering Department in 2009 marked a pivotal moment in addressing the growing demand for skilled engineers in the realm of computing. Presently, our department offers an undergraduate program in Computer Engineering with an intake capacity of 180 students. Additionally, we have introduced a postgraduate course in Computer Engineering with two specializations which are Computer Engineering & Computer Networks to further cater to the diverse interests and aspirations of our students. Our overarching goal is to cultivate a cohort of adept Computer Engineers imbued with a strong sense of professionalism and ethical commitment. To realize this vision, we have assembled a team of proficient, dedicated, and deeply motivated faculty members who are committed to nurturing the next generation of technological innovators. Equipped with state-of-the-art laboratories boasting the latest computers and software, we maintain a student-to-computer ratio of 1:1, ensuring unfettered access to resources for our students. Moreover, our laboratories are equipped with 24/7 internet connectivity, facilitating uninterrupted access to assignments and projects. In addition to conventional classroom instruction, we place a significant emphasis on holistic development through specialized soft skills training programs. These initiatives, including personality development workshops, communication skills enhancement sessions, group discussions, and debates, are integral to honing our students' abilities and enhancing their employability prospects. It's a continuous process aimed at empowering our students with the necessary skills to thrive in today's competitive job market. Notably, the department boasts a commendable track record of academic excellence, with consistently outstanding results. Furthermore, our faculty members are actively engaged in cutting-edge research across a diverse array of fields, including Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Cybersecurity, Cloud Computing, Internet of Things (IoT), Blockchain Technology, Data Warehousing, Data Mining, Big Data Analytics, Networking, Embedded Systems, Wireless Communication, Image Processing, and Wireless Sensor Networks. We encourage our students to leverage the resources and opportunities available within the department to deepen their understanding and excel in their chosen domains. In essence, the Computer Engineering Department is committed to fostering a vibrant learning environment where academic rigor, research excellence, and practical application converge to empower our students to become leaders and innovators in the ever-evolving landscape of technology. We invite our students to seize the myriad opportunities available within the department, embark on a journey of discovery, and chart a course towards a fulfilling and impactful career in the field of computer engineering.
To lead the field in computer engineering education and to develop students into globally qualified professionals with mastery of software development, a talent for research, and a commitment to moral principles.
