About Department
The Department of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering was established since inception of the college in 2008 with the present annual intake of 60 (First Year) and 60 (Direct Second Year) students. In tune with the growing demand profile globally for Electronics, A Post Graduate Course in Electronics Engineering with Digital System Specialization is started from the year 2012. The Department has well-qualified Faculty Members having various specializations relevant for the Industry. The faculty, PG and research students working in research areas related to cutting edge technologies such as Cognitive and Software Defined Radio in Wireless Communication, VLSI and Embedded Systems, Communication Networks, Signal Coding and Communication, and Robotics and Automation. The academic activities are supported by well equipped laboratories including Research and Project laboratories with high-end equipments required for Industry.

The Department strives to develop long term relationships with Industries and market the Student's Talents effectively. The Students are thus provided high level 'Leads and Pathways' that enable them to gain access to a broad range of 'high potential' and 'hi-tech' Career Opportunities. In a very short span of time since the Department was launched in our College, it has made a name for itself, among the Top few Colleges, at the University level, through Seminars, Symposia, Workshops, and Conferences and also through its performance in the Examinations and Placements. Industry interaction has been increased with several programs conducted with the help of industries and placement in such industries is also achieved.

There is a tremendous requirement of Electronics and Telecommunication Engineers every year in the fields like Mobile communication, Networking, VLSI, Embedded Systems, Signal processing etc. This only goes to indicate that, as in past, Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering discipline will continue to offer lucrative jobs for many more years to come, hence probably termed as an evergreen branch of Engineering.
