The principal functions of the Health Committee are the promotion of the health, safety and welfare of all persons when on college premises and of staff and students when engaged upon activities relevant to the College’s purposes.
1. To promote health and safety training in the College at all levels and to ensure that appropriate emergency procedures are in place.
2. To request formal inspections of work places as the Committee think appropriate and to receive reports of such inspections.
3. To consider and keep under review building work which may be needed to conform to good health, safety and welfare practice.
4. To keep under review communications and publicity relating to health, safety and welfare in the College and where necessary to recommend any improvements or changes.
