R&D Cell has been established to promote and monitor the research Programs of the College. R & D cell is headed by Mr. Shambhu Kumar, (Assistant Prof.).The aim of research and development (R&D) is to improve the current technologies offered by an organization or to develop innovations that strengthen the organization’s position. R&D cell in mechanical department facilitates internet facility along with latest software’s that are required in mechanical field for design, analysis and simulation purpose.

Study and Testing of Adsorption Refrigeration System in Automobile Air Conditioning Powered by Exhaust Gases


It is a well-known fact that a large amount of heat energy associated with the exhaust gases from an engine is wasted. A rough energy balance of the available energy in the combustion of fuel in a motor car engine shows that on third is converted into shaft work, one third is lost at radiator and one third is wasted as heat at the exhaust system, even for relatively small car engine. Heat energy can be utilized from the exhaust gas this heat energy is enough to power an adsorption air conditioning system to produce the air conditioning effect.
ADSORPTION :- Adsorption is the adhesion of atoms, ions or molecules from a gas, liquid or dissolved solid to a surface. This process creates a film of the adsorbate on the surface of the adsorbent. This process differs from absorbtion, in which a fluid is dissolved by or permeates a liquid or solid respectively.

Design & Fabrication of lever operated wheel chair for disabled persons with no legs


This Project includes the design and fabrication of lever propelled wheelchair. There are many people who are disabled due to some injuries or other drastic diseases. So, there are various techniques used in the improvement of the conventional wheelchair. Researchers used the techniques like HMI, HCL and Accelerometer in the wheelchair. It improved the basic model but there are some people who cannot afford such advanced wheelchair. So, in this design we are using the lever for transmitting the force to move wheelchair instead of applying the force on push rim. We are using the basic mechanisms for the movement of wheelchair. The wheelchair is designed in a such a way that it requires less efforts and it is cheaper then the other advanced wheelchairs.

Train axle power generation through magnetic couplings


The movement of the train was not used for generation of power since diesel engine innovation. The utilization of the moving train to produce electricity can be done So the production of electricity by using the concept of the rotation of secondary shaft due to the primary railway axle. It is caused by the moving train by using an electrical power generation system. This device could be placed along railway bogies or locomotive axles. An electrical power generation system comprises a variable capacitor and a power source. The magnetic coupling here by used will transfer power from locomotive axle to the generator shaft without contact that will implies no contact / friction load on railway locomotive shaft. That will beneficial for power generation without altering or damaging ongoing system.

Automatic Gear Shifter for Two Wheelers


According to reports shown in feb-2018 the production of manual transmission have fallen to 30% and while the modern automatic transmission have increased to 70% of its production. As the demands of gearless bikes has been increased. This paper aims to introduce one such kind of automatic transmission which is Pneumatic Gear Shifter. It is system which will change the gear automatically with help of Microcontroller Unit, Control Unit, Pneumatic Cylinders, Hoses and Sensors.

Designing a Boiler Chimney System to Enhance Boiler Efficiency Against Fouling


The industrial boilers are working on very high temperature & pressure. And the some flue gasses forms in the boiler which required to exhaust in atmosphere. Because of this the boiler chimneys are provided to the boiler. Through the chimney that gasses are exhausted to the atmosphere. But some fouling are forms in the chimney. And after some period that chimneys will get blocked. And in existing chimney system hasn’t any provision to clean the particulate filters. There for this will reduce the efficiency of boiler and increase the chances of accident.

Now our project is to redesigning of the boiler chimney against fouling creation. Our attempt in the way to reduce the fouling forms in the chimney. For this we provides such design which allows the particulate filter cleaning after some period. The design has to allow for quick maintenance without interfering with the boiler operations.
