Industrial visits

Industrial visit has its own importance in a career of a student who is pursuing a professional degree. It is considered as a part of college curriculum. Objectives of industrial visit are to provide students an insight regarding internal working of companies. We know, theoretical knowledge is not enough for making a good professional career. With an aim to go beyond academics, industrial visit provides student a practical perspective on the world of work. It provides students with an opportunity to learn practically through interaction, working methods and employment practices. It gives them exposure to current work practices as opposed to possibly theoretical knowledge being taught at college. Industrial visits provide an excellent opportunity to interact with industries and know more about industrial environment.

    Go Karting

Our college Go-Kart Team- “Royal Falcons” participated in an International Series of Karting, Hyderabad and Trinity Karting Trophy, Pune. A team of 26 members together contributed to construct, to manufacture the Go-Kart. Along with the members our guide Prof. S. L. Konde, all mechanical engineering department staff and few friends helped us to fabricate the Kart. Our team captain Deepak Padwal and vice captain Atharva Joshi distributed respective departments regarding the Go-Kart.

The team was divided into calculations department, modeling and analysis department, virtual department, purchase department and manufacturing department. The work started from calculations team who designed the Kart which was then modeled and analysis team. The purchase team purchased the materials which were required for manufacturing the Kart. The production and manufacturing team along with the help of a mechanic, a welder, a worker fabricated the Kart. The virtual team was preparing for the design presentation, business presentation at the same time.

At the time of the ISK, Hyderabad event the team passed the technical event, braking and acceleration test. The team could not enter in the endurance race because the kart faced a brake problem. Yet the team members did not get disappointed as at the first time they reached till endurance passing the technical inspection.

The team participated in the Trinity Karting Trophy, Pune. The Kart passed the I.T, acceleration and braking, skid pass and auto-cross and reached the endurance race where the team rank was 11th in the race. The motto of participating this event was not to complete as rebels but to learn and have practical knowledge about the automobile, to manage and tackle the difficulties in our own manufactured Kart and to have fun while manufacturing our own designed Kart.

    Engineers’ Day

Engineers’ day which is celebrated in the memory of the legendary engineer Sir M.Visvesvaraya was celebrated on Teachers’ day. Being an Engineer and Teacher it was a great pleasure for faculties to be a part of this function. As a part of game, rapid quizzes were asked by the students to the faculties in which all took part enthusiastically.

    Tree Plantation

Students took initiative to create Environmental awareness by giving plants to felicitate teachers instead of bouquet on Teachers Day. Later these plants were planted in college premises.
