Company – High Power TV Transmitter Station

Company Profile –

Doordarshan High power transmitter is an installed located at Sinhgad fort 33 Km away from doordarshan studios and approximately 4500 ft above sea level. All India radio F.M. transmitter carrying vividhbharati services and private F.M. transmitters namely radio city, red F.M., radio one are also installed in the premises.

Visit –

They started with 12 students and 2 faculty members at 10.30 am on their bikes as only vehicles are permitted to enter in pass section of Sinhgad Fort and reached there at 12.00 pm. Mrs. Vattamvar M.R. had welcomed us to T.V. transmitter station. Once they entered the company there was an Introduction Session arranged. In which Prof. Mayuresh Gulame had introduced himself to them. And Mrs.Vattamvar M.R. gave us introduction about high power transmitter station which was installed in 1972.They gave the basic operation of antenna, then showed how communication is carried out practically. Moreover they said about digital terrestrial transmitter (D.T.T.) which is to be installed very soon. Lastly all students gathered at the lawn in open area. Mrs. Vattamvar M.R. had a Question- Answer session with students. Once they were out of the company they had lunch and started to return journey at 3.00 pm.

Company –Allain Duhangan Hydro Power Plant, Prini , Manali, Himachal Pradesh, India

Company Profile –

AD hydro power palnt Ltd is implementing the 192 Mw Allian duhangan hydroelectric project on the rivers allian and duhangan in the kullu distric of Himachal Pradesh. Commercial operation of a 192MW run-of-the-river Allian Duhangan hydroelectric power plant began in April 2010. ADPCL will operate as a base load plant during the summer and rainy seasons, and as a peaking plant in the winter and non-monsoon months. The project will help meet peak and energy shortages in the northern region of India, while helping to improve the country's hydro/thermal mix. The power plant will reduce the greenhouse-gas emissions by 400,000t per annum Allain side of the project, the first phase of the project using Allain water, was commissioned in the month of July, 2010. The commercial production has started successfuly. The 175 Kms long 220 KV double circuit Transmission Line is completed and operational.

They started with 39 students and 2 faculty members at 9:00 am from pune railway station to kullu manali, Himachal pradesh Via Chandigarh. Mr. Jayprakash Dimman had welcome them to hydro power palnt. Once they entered the company there were an Introduction Session arranged. In which Prof. Mayuresh Gulame had introduced himself to them. And Mr. Jayprakash Dimman gave them introduction about AD hydro power palnt and how basically the 192 MW power is generated. Lastly all students gathered at the lawn in open area. Mr. Jayprakash Dimman had a Question- Answer session with students. Once they were out of the company we had lunch with enjoying snow fall and started to return journey.
