The Civil Department of KJCOEMR includes highly qualified and experienced faculty in respective subject.
Civil Engineering is considered to be the most versatile branch among all the engineering branches. It is the branch with a lot of diversity from geotechnical sciences to structural engineering, environmental to hydraulics, transportation to hydrology; Civil Engineering can be considered as a single largest branch among all the engineering branches.
Department of Civil Engineering since its formation is committed to research and development in civil engineering. The vision of the department is to give an exposure to budding civil technocrats to various challenges in the profession. The department offers courses at undergraduate level and graduate level. The main areas of research include Geotechnical Engineering, Structural Engineering, Hydraulics Engineering, Hydrology, GIS and GPS Systems, Design of Structures, Environmental Engineering, Solid Mechanics and Transportation Engineering. The department also handles consultancy works and projects.
A collaborative destination where leading civil engineering research serves the needs of a broad array of disciplines and where innovations in other fields are applied to enrich civil engineering research and practice.
Provide knowledge and hands-on expertise that enable budding civil engineers to evolve from empirical ad hoc approaches into strategic, scientifically grounded analysis, using fundamental mechanics, integrating uncertainty, and navigating constructive objectives inherent in successful civil engineering
